Spring and Easter Cards

Mini Book Mama made it to town and came with all sorts of great ideas for Spring and Easter Cards!!! Here are a few of the ones that I got done. I have stuff to do quilling for some time, but this is the first time I've really done anything with it. The little flowers weren't too hard to make, but getting them attached to the card was a little difficult. Now I'm ready to try something more challenging!

Tag, You're It!!!

Here's the second in the Tag, You're It! series. This one went to Mini Book Mama. I made it with the Melody Ross Chip Art dies. I used glitter pens to paint in the shapes and then finished the surface with a mixture of brown paint and Modge Podge - makes it look kind of like leather!

Scrappin' Week Comin' Up!!!

Mini Book Mama is coming to town this weekend and will be here to scrap for a whole week!!!! OK, so we'll probably do some other stuff, too, but we're hoping to get in quite a bit of quality scrappin' time. She keeps calling about what to bring, but I told her just to bring pictures. It's not like I don't have a huge stash of stuff she can use. It will be good to have some of it go to good use. I am so looking forward to it. Stay tuned to see all the cool stuff we'll be making!

Project 12 March Layout

I really didn't know what I was going to do for my March layout. There really hasn't been that much going on this month and I haven't taken many pictures. But then, yesterday was the first day of Spring...and it SNOWED!!! Not just a little flurry but several inches. So instead of getting any work done in the garden, I took pictures of the snow. I also filled up the bird feeders and that attracted a lot of birds who seemed to be a bit upset over the snow as well. It looked like a scene from Hitchcock outside our windows. Well, at least it gave me something for my March layout. I hope this is the last of our snow, though. I'm ready for some REAL springtime!

Family Album

Petal Pusher and I got this album kit at CKC in 2008. We took it to CKC 2009, but didn't finish it because we got really frustrated with the rubons. Well, this weekend, we decided to finally get it put together. The rubons were still a pain, but we perservered. There aren't any pictures in it yet, but it's still pretty nice. Now I just have to figure out what I want to use it for!!!!

Tag, You're It!!!

The Scrappin' Sisters are doing a little project where one creates a tag and passes it onto the next sis, who makes a different tag for the next sister and so on. Then we reverse it on each go around so every other time, we're getting a tag from a different scrappin' sister. This was my first tag - it went to Petal Pusher. I hope she liked it!!!!

Older and Wiser

I was on a roll this weekend. I got another project finished!!!! The "Older and Wiser" mini book that Mini Book Mama got for us. I decided that since we don't really act all that much wiser (or even act our age most of the time), that I would capture pictures of us acting
"Older and Wiser... NOT!"

Christmas Mini Album

I finally got around to finishing the Christmas mini book that I bought from Boxer at the CKC show in October. I had actually forgotten that I had it until I went out to Mini Book Mama's to crop a couple weeks ago. I thought it would be an easy thing to take to work on at the crop, but I brought so much stuff I never got around to it then either. It took another scrappin' weekend with Petal Pusher to get it done!

February Project 12

Here is my layout for Project 12 for February. I chose as my topic my recent scrappin' trip out to Mini-Book Mama's for a 3-day crop party! Along with some of her friends, we made up the "Crazy Croppers". Check some of my previous posts for some fun pics of us at the crop!

Finally Unpacking

Well, after our big crop weekend and then helping Petal Pusher with her new scrap room the following weekend, I'm just getting around to unpacking my crop bag from Get Croppin' and uploading my pictures. I'm going to do my Project 12 Layout for February with those pictures, so tonight I printed them all out.

I'm going to be croppin' with Petal Pusher on Friday, so maybe I'll get my February layout done and can post it. For now I'm just chillin' out through the work week.
